THE GODDESS REMEDY
Medicine for Healing Ourselves and Our World
If you’ve noticed I’ve been MIA from this space, it’s because we’ve been preparing for the January 20 launch of my new book, The Goddess Remedy, and the to-do list has been enormous. Looking forward to resuming more regular posting here…
When I got the January 20 date from my publisher, I found it slightly ironic that my book would be coming into the world on the day associated with the inauguration of the American president.
This year however, and far more in keeping with what my book is actually about, January 20 is also the day for the FREE AMERICA WALKOUT. And oh my, do we ever need to free America.
But I digress…
My book wrestles with the notion of patriarchy, though I’m less focused on the outer paradigm of domination and control, and more on the distortion of mind—what I call the “inner patriarch”—that afflicts each and every one of us regardless of our gender ID. The book unpacks how, once we become aware of its insidious presence, the best remedy for unraveling its toxic grasp is awareness of the deep feminine, aka the goddess. Hence the title, The Goddess Remedy.
At its core, what I’m exploring is the relationship between doing and being. Ultimately, my work is about the integration of these two essential aspects of being human—we can call them doing and being, we can call them masculine and feminine, we can call them mind and heart.
Here’s one of my favorite quotes from the book:
“This is how we transform the patriarch into a strong and healthy masculine, a vibrant and vital masculine, a masculine that stands for and stands in love. And a loving masculine in partnership with the deep feminine is the human possibility that can restore, redeem, and reenchant our world.”
[The Goddess Remedy, p. 77]
If this sounds like medicine you need—for yourself, for your relationships, for the world, do check out my book (and if you like it, please help us spread the word).
Please stay tuned for updates about special programs and events in the works.
Most of all, with deep gratitude for your presence in this community, and with hope for all we can restore together…
